Hardener Type PSH-519 / PS-990AD

PS-990 is a multifunctional high-solids hybrid primer-surfacer designed for automotive refinishing applications. It can be used as both a sanding and non-sanding surfacer and can be applied directly onto bare metal substrates such as steel, zinc, aluminum, and galvanized steel. PS-990 is compatible with both waterborne and solventborne basecoat systems and provides excellent hiding with very good topcoat flow, making it suitable for a wide range of repair and refinishing operations.

Application Information

Spray pressure : 1-2.5 bar
Spray distance : 15-20 cm
Fluid tip : 1.3~1.6 mm

Non-sanding application

Number of coats : 1 wet coat
Viscosity : 13-15 sec (Ford Cup #4 at 25°C)
Dry film thickness : 20-40 µm
Set time : Apply topcoat immediately after 15 minutes (20°C)

Sanding application

Number of coats : 2-3 wet coats
Viscosity : 18-20 sec (Ford Cup #4 at 25°C)
Dry film thickness : 50~70 µm
Flash time : 10 min
Set time : 10 min
Time to sand : 20 min at 60°C / 2 hrs at 25°C
